Scotland Yard is looking for Lohan for questioning

Just as Lindsay Lohan was apparently on her way to getting her life back on track, having again reconciled with former lover Samantha Ronson and starting work again on several projects, while also being courted by several fashion houses for endorsements, she is being investigated in connection with a jewelry heist. Scotland Yard wants to question Lohan regarding some items that have gone missing, TMZ informs.

While this could be simply an issue of sitting down and answering a couple of questions, the fact that the jewelry pieces have actually disappeared after a magazine photo shoot that starred none other than Lindsay herself, makes the matter a bit more complicated. Moreover, as fans must remember, this is not the first time that allegations of this type are brought against the freckled actress, who is either too careless about the items handed to her or can’t restrain herself from taking them home with her.

“Lindsay Lohan is wanted for questioning in connection with a jewel heist – and an expensive one at that. Scotland Yard is investigating the disappearance of around $500,000 worth of jewels – earrings and a necklace – that went missing after an Elle magazine shoot... and guess who was front and center for the shoot? Our freckle-faced friend. Scotland Yard wants to question LiLo... but they’re quick to add others are being investigated as well.” TMZ writes of the latest incident.

Contacted for a comment, Lohan’s rep was not immediately available for an official statement. However, it is believed that Lindsay’s situation might have been similar to the one in which Jennifer Lopez also found herself earlier this year, when she believed the diamonds she had received for a public appearance were actually a present for her to attend the event in question. A scandal later ensued as to whether she had “stolen” the diamonds or had simply made an honest mistake but, in her case, police were not involved.

“We received a call from [her manager] Benny Medina, informing us that Jennifer was going to keep the jewelry. As far as Mr. Mouawad is concerned, Jennifer can have whatever she wants, but a premature demand seemed presumptuous.” a source working with renowned jeweler Mouawad who had lent the diamonds (estimated at $50,000) to Lopez, was telling the media at the time. Medina, in his turn, defended his client by saying that the diamonds were a “clear” and “very generous” offer that JLo simply could not turn down.
