Lindsay Lohan Seeks Protection Against the Paparazzi

Now that her condition is improving and she’s getting all the help she needs for her addiction at the Betty Ford Center, Lindsay Lohan is out to get her life in order. Number one on her to-do list: seek restraining order against the paparazzi.

The actress, always quite a pap magnet, wants a restraining order preventing photographers from chasing her, so that she can get back behind the wheel, TMZ has learned.

Given the ongoing reports of how she is the one who usually calls them to tell them where she is (and thus make a buck on the side), the situation is somewhat ironic, voices in the blogosphere point out.

Still, Lindsay is bent on getting back her driver’s license but, in order to do that, she must first solve her pap problem.

“Lindsay Lohan believes she’s being denied driving privileges because the paparazzi are constantly on her tail... so she’s asking her lawyer to get a restraining order prohibiting them from chasing her,” TMZ reports.

Apparently, while the LA County Probation Department and the DMV were ok to have Lindsay’s driving privileges reinstated, people from the Betty Ford Clinic were against it because of how swamped by paps they noticed she was every time she stepped outside.

“Just when Lindsay was supposed the get the keys, Betty Ford decided it was too much of a safety risk to put Lindsay behind the wheel, because the paparazzi were creating an unsafe driving situation,” says TMZ.

“We’re told Lindsay emailed her lawyer this weekend – with pictures attached showing the paps following her – asking the attorney to go to court for the restraining order,” the same media outlet informs.

“Sources say no decision has been reached on whether a restraining order is a viable option. In the meantime, Lindsay is still stuck in park,” TMZ also notes.

Again ironically, this week only, Lindsay has been photographed by paparazzi on numerous occasions, coming out of meetings, going shopping or simply walking around.

Because of the sudden abundance of pics surfaced online, speculation has begun that she calls the photographers herself and they tell her to walk from building to building so that she can get paid.
