As expected, Lindsay Lohan will be making her acting comeback in the upcoming John Gotti movie, starring John Travolta as the well-known mafioso. Contrary to speculation, though, LiLo will not be playing Victoria Gotti.

Speculation about the part started making the rounds online a short while ago, with many saying her close friendship with Victoria Gotti could actually work in Lindsay’s favor in nabbing the role.

When she showed up at the press conference for “Gotti: Three Generation” alongside Travolta and Victoria, it became almost clear that she would be involved in the film in one capacity or another, even if no official announcement had been made.

The other day, word got out that producers no longer wanted Lindsay because she was making impossible demands, especially when her fate is not yet determined and there’s still a pretty good chance of going to jail on the grand theft charge.

Lindsay is now confirming that she’s back in the picture (pun intended), with the only difference that she won’t be playing Victoria but Kim Gotti, Radar Online confirms.

“I’m really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do,” Lindsay says.

“I think it’s such an iconic story. I’m honored to be working with John Travolta and Joe Pesci,” the legally troubled actress adds in the same statement.

Further details on the Gotti film are not yet available, but it’s already confirmed that Lohan will also do another mobster movie after it, “Mob Streets.”

Come to think of it, this is precisely what she’d been asking for all along: a chance to prove she was more than just a tabloid figure and that she attached “actress” to her name because that making movies was the love of her life.

“Great films, tell great stories. That’s what I aspired to do my whole life, and personal instances in my life have gotten in the way,” she said in her first post-rehab interview.
