14 DAY TRIAL // Lindsay Lohan is still struggling to find an attorney to represent her in court for her appeal to the 90-day jail sentence she was served with a few days ago. As she’s doing so, buzz is beginning to pick up that she may have some trouble with it because she’s literally millions of dollars in debt – and surrounded by people who will only feed off her without as much as thinking of her well being, Fox News’ PopTarts reports.
Sources are telling the media that, as she’s shopping around town for an attorney, the judge still considers Shawn Chapman Holley her representative until she can come up with an official replacement. At the same time, Lindsay is convinced that she’s innocent and should not go to jail, which is the main reason she and Holley don’t see eye to eye. This happens because Lohan’s so-called friends are telling her exactly what she wants to hear because, otherwise, they’re left without their primary source of revenue.
“Lindsay is surrounded by all these so-called friends who keep wrapping her in cotton wool and telling her that she did nothing wrong and this is all so unfair and she must file an appeal. It’s a lost cause, she won’t listen to anybody unless they tell her she is an innocent. Shawn had a very strong plan for Lindsay, as she does all her clients. But Lindsay is prepared to listen to her friends and people that tell her she is innocent, so there was no point in Shawn and Lindsay continuing to try and work together. She is already a couple of million dollars in debt. She just isn’t living in the real world,” sources reveal for the aforementioned publication.
While her finances may be in hot and troubled waters, at least on a personal level things finally seem to be looking up, if one is to believe a TMZ report. After coming to her defense on Twitter, putting comedienne Joan Rivers in her place, former girlfriend Samantha Ronson agreed to go out for sushi with Lindsay. Given their troubled past and the bitter exchange of words the two had on several occasions after the breakup, this could be, as the saying goes, the beginning of a beautiful friendship – again.
“Lindsay Lohan and ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson were spotted together for the first time in months... eating out at sushi restaurant Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills last night. If anything can get the volatile former couple together, it’s their mutual love for fish,” TMZ writes in a post accompanying the first photo of the two together again.
