Recently launched, Nvidia's GF114 core, that powers the GeForce GTX 560 Ti graphics card, already found its way into a wide number of GPUs, but Leadtek isn't going to let that stop it from announcing their own version of the GTX 560, released under the WinFast series.

Unlike most other solutions that have come to market until now, Leadtek has chosen to strictly follow Nvidia's reference design, as both cards use the same cooling system.

In addition, the core and memory operating frequencies have also been left unaltered, the WinFast GeForce GTX 560 Ti featuring the standard 822MHz GPU and 1000MHz (4000MHz effective) clocks.

This means that the card sticks with the 175W TDP that was set by Nvidia for the GTX 560 Ti.

Leadtek's GTX 560 Ti graphics card is based on Nvidia's recently launched GF114 core that features 384 stream processors, 64 texturing units, 32 ROPs as well as a 256-bit wide memory bus that connects the 1GB of GDDR5 video buffer to the GPU, and is built using TSMC's 40nm fabrication process.

Performance wise, the card is on par with AMD's newly released 1GB Radeon HD 6950, both also carrying similar price tags.

Just like other GF114 models, Leadtek's card features 2-way SLI support in addition to two DVI and one mini-HDMI display outputs, power being delivered via two 6-pin PCI-Express connectors.

Sadly, no details regarding prices were released together with the card's announcement, but since this is a standard GF114-based GPU, I suspect the WinFast GeForce GTX 560 Ti to be retailed for $249.

In addition to this card, Leadtek is also prepared to launch an overclocked version of the GTX 560.

However, its clocks rates, or a release schedule, has not been made public at this time, although the company promises it will “pique the interest of most enthusiasts.”
