14 DAY TRIAL // Lady Gaga came out of hiding a few days ago, after spending many a week away from the spotlight, recovering from hip surgery. A new report in the Daily Mail suggests she may have had even more surgery than just to correct a fracture sustained touring.
In other words, the British tab is saying that Gaga had some subtle work done on her face.
“Lady Gaga has sparked speculation she has recently undergone a nose job, after it appeared more streamlined at a recent Gay Pride event. The 27-year-old singer took to the stage to speak at the celebration in New York and her nose appeared to be slimmer and smaller,” the publication writes.
That Gaga would succumb to pressure existent in the industry to look “perfect” wouldn’t be such a terrible thing, especially since so many stars, both male and female, have done it already.
What would be terrible in her case is the existence of comments like those made to Harper’s Bazaar in 2011 about how she’d never go under the knife because she wouldn’t want to promote insecurity to her Little Monsters (her fans).
“I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification,” she said at the time, as cited by the same British tab.
“And how many models and actresses do you see on magazine covers who have brand-new faces and have had plastic surgery, while I myself have never had any plastic surgery?” Gaga asked, boasting of how natural she was.
