With Orange UK at least

We've already seen the LG Viewty II GC900 in the wild in some leaked photos, yet nothing official about the device has surfaced until now. And while we have an idea on how the mobile phone would look like, its launch date can only be guessed, and has made it to the rumor mill once again.

According to Omio, the handset is expected to come to the market sometime in June, while being added to the lineup of Orange UK. At the same time, the next-generation Viewty is said to reach other European markets the same month. The news site has it that the 8-megapixel camera phone has been spotted on the Q2 release schedule for Orange UK, and that it should become available in June.

In addition, it seems that the aforementioned schedule also shows other interesting devices that would come to the carrier's users in the near future, among which we can count a Samsung Preston, said to come in three color variants, namely black, pink and white, as well as the LG GW520 ‘Calisto,’ also expected to reach the shelves in June.

Besides the high-quality photo snapper, which features xenon flash, the upcoming LG Viewty II GC900 is also expected to include the phone maker's S-Class interface, which has been seen with the LG Arena, as well as a 3-inch full WVGA touchscreen, and 32GB of memory. In addition, users will also be able to enjoy DivX and Xvid video playback capabilities with the handset.

Though the LG Viewty II GC900 is not a smartphone, it still looks like a great option for anyone looking for a highly capable device, yet it will have to face strong competition when released on the market, as June is also reported to be the launch time frame for mobile phones like the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD, Nokia N97 or the new iPhone from Apple.
