14 DAY TRIAL // Although LG Optimus Sol and Optimus Hub are available for purchase in India for quite some time, the Korean handset manufacturer issued the official press release today.
Surprisingly, LG suggests a recommended retail price of Rs 19,000 (390 USD or 300 EUR) for the Optimus Sol, and Rs 14,500 (295 USD or 225 EUR) for the Optimus Hub.
Customers who are not familiar with these Android smartphones should know that Flipkart is already selling the LG Optimus Sol for only Rs 16,990 (350 USD or 265 EUR), as well as the Optimus Hub for Rs 13,249 (270 USD or 205 EUR).
Both LG Optimus Sol and Optimus Hub are running Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system with LG’s proprietary Optimus 2.0 user interface.
However, the Optimus Sol has a slightly larger 3.8-inch Ultra AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, whereas the Optimus Hub packs a smaller 3.5-inch display. Both phones come with Corning Gorilla Glass coating for extra protection against scratches and scrapes.
Moreover, the Optimus Sol is equipped with a more powerful 1 GHz single core processor, while the Optimus Hub packs only an 800 MHz CPU.
In addition, each smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear camera, but the Optimus Sol also comes with a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.
It is also worth mentioning that the smartphones come with 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included). However, the Optimus Sol features 1GB storage, while the Optimus Hub packs only 150MB of internal memory.
