Unveiled more than two weeks ago in South Korea, the LG Optimus LTE Android smartphone is about to make its debut in Canada.

Although we originally thought that this superphone is limited to South Korean market, it looks like LG decided to go worldwide with the release of the Optimus LTE.

Touted Korea's first smartphone to offer 4G connectivity and HD content, LG Optimus LTE has just been spotted at Bell Mobility.

Even though LG Canada did not confirm the launch of the smartphone in Canada, a demo video presented by tech expert Marc Saltzman from The Source, has just surfaced.

According to this video, the Optimus LTE will be available at Bell as LG Eye. However, no timeframe for its release date are specified within the video, but rumor has it that the device will be launched sometime in November.

It is likely that Bell will add Optimus Eye to its “Superphone” lineup in a few weeks, but other carriers in North America may debut similar devices.

In this regard, Verizon Wireless is expected to introduce the LG Revolution 2, which should arrives in stores by the end of the year.

LG Eye comes with a 4.5-inch HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

The smartphone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but LG might deploy the lasted Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for all its top-tier devices starting early 2012.

Furthermore, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an Adreno 220 graphics processing unit.

Another strong point of the handset is the 8-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash, face and smile detection, as well as full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities.

It is also worth mentioning that the LG Eye will be delivered with a secondary 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video calls.

In addition, the LG Eye packs 4 GB of internal memory, 1 GB of RAM, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 16GB memory card included).
