Verizon has added LG Chocolate VX8550 to their line of phones. The handset looks slimmer and sleeker than the previous LG Chocolate model and also brings a large number of evolved performances.

Everybody loved the LG Chocolate phone model, so why shouldn't this upgraded version be even a bigger success? The phone has a vibrating touch keypad and a Navigation Wheel with Trace Motion Light, some new features which have not been seen until now in handsets belonging to this line of phone models.

LG Chocolate VX8550 is actually a music phone which comes with evolved capabilities for rendering music at high quality. There is also a 4GB card slot, which manages to compete with almost any separate music player in terms of data storage space. The phone also comes with a powerful speaker and easy access keys which make handling this device considerably easier.

The phone will be available in two new colors: Black Cherry and Blue Mint, which work great for the sleek and shiny Chocolate design. These new colors, along with the small sizes of 98 x 47 x 17 mm have high chances of making the LG Chocolate VX8550 phone an elegant slider phone. Other specifications also include Bluetooth connectivity and EV-DO support for V Cast Music as well as MP3 ringtones.

This new handset's upgrades are welcomed, but they could have worked more on the camera performances. The 1.3 megapixel camera found in the LG Chocolate VX8500 older phone model is found in this one too, although it is already outdated by handsets capable of similar performances and within the same price range.

LG Chocolate VX8550 will be available at Verizon from now on for the price of USD 100 with a two-year contract and a USD 50 mail-in rebate.
