LG appears to be planning the launch of a multi-SIM handset in Russia. The Korean handset maker recently released the Optimus Net Dual smartphone with dual-SIM capability and Android 2.3 Gingerbread on board.

This time, however, LG will be releasing a triple-SIM handset. The folks over at GSMArena have just been tipped on the phone’s possible launch date and price tag.

According to them, LG A290 will be available in Russia starting next month for only 75 EUR (100 USD) outright. The feature-phone comes with a 2.2-inch standard display (176 x 220 pixels resolution) and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera with flashlight.

It’s unclear whether all three SIM card will be active at the same time, but the LG A290 will surely attract lots of customers who want to be able to use multiple SIM cards within a single device.
