Kyocera Wireless Corp has announced the Kyocera K132 entry level mobile phone that will be available for Cricket subscribers.

The dual-band CDMA mobile phone comes with a clamshell form factor and a premium design with a soft-touch finish. It is a good choice for the usual user who doesn't expect any fancy features in a phone.

Kyocera has designed the K132 aiming to provide an affordable yet stylish and functional mobile phone for users that aren't interested in paying a lot of money for a handset.

"We're excited to bring our customers this value rich handset," said Al Moschner, executive vice-president and chief marketing officer for Cricket. "Cricket customers love to text and search the Web and the Kyocera K132 features mobile Web browsing and a host of functionality at a very affordable price."

The mobile phone includes several features for all the user's more basic needs including a speakerphone, a 65k color display, pre-loaded polyphonic ringtones, vibrate alert and BREW 2.1 that offers the user the possibility of downloading wallpapers, screen savers and ringtones over-the-air through Cricket services like Cricket Clicks.

Aside from that, the mobile phone comes with voice activated dialing, voice memos, predictive text entry, alarm clock, stopwatch, calculator and countdown timer. The handset is Web enabled for email, sports, entertainment, lifestyle and news and also supports Travel Time, Cricket's roaming service.

It measures 86.4 mm x 43.7 mm x 21.1 mm, weighs 93.6 grams and has a talk time of up to 3.7 hours and standby time of approximately 180 hours.
