Even though she’s yet to complete her work on “The Twilight Saga” – “Breaking Dawn Part 1” is shooting now – Kristen Stewart is already getting plenty of offers for future films. She’s now in the running for Lois Lane in “Superman.”

The other day, Henry Cavill was announced as the new Man of Steel in the “Superman” reboot, which will be directed by Zack Snyder, and produced and written by Chris Nolan.

Not much is known about the reboot but casting is well under way, Comic Book Movie reports. Without a doubt, Lois Lane will also be in the film, which means the movie studio is looking at actresses to play her.

Kristen Stewart of “Twilight” is now favorite for the part, although several other actresses have already auditioned for it, says the report.

“While much isn’t known about the ‘modern’ reboot, essentially the roles to be cast, Clark Kent’s main squeeze Lois Lane is almost guaranteed to appear,” CBM writes.

“Though several actresses have either expressed interest in playing Lane, or have been rumored to have read for the role, today’s latest rumor via Gregory Littley, a Branding Consultant and Creative director who specializes in social media, has Twilight’s Kristen Stewart in the mix,” says the same report.

“I’m hearing Kristen Stewart has officially read for Lois Lane in Zach Snyder’s Superman reboot,” Littley tweeted the other day, causing a frenzy of speculation on whether there may be any truth to this.

So far, Stewart has not addressed this in any way, as neither has anyone involved with the film, which is scheduled to go into production this summer for a late 2012 release.

This means fans should consider it just a rumor for the time being.

The same goes for a modern take on the classic “Snow White” story, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” to which Stewart is also loosely attached. The film has, so far, Charlize Theron and Viggo Mortensen.
