They might still avoid being photographed together in public as a couple, but Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have nothing but love and support for each other. She came out to support his latest film in Cannes at the Film Festival.

Both “Twilight” stars have been dating for quite some time (which varies according to which source you choose to believe) and both are now in Cannes promoting non-Twilight projects.

The other day, Kristen had the premiere of “On the Road,” with Robert attending as well. Last night was his turn, with “Cosmopolis” – and she made sure her red carpet appearance was truly memorable.

Check out the two photos also attached to this article: this was Kristen's best red carpet appearance ever.

Rocking a bright red and very bold and sensual Reem Acra gown, with a plunging neckline and lace panels on the side, the actress was a vision of beauty.

She matched the dress with bright red lipstick and sensual makeup, going for a loose 'do and no jewelry, except for the two rings she never takes off and a simple bracelet.

Kristen and Robert did not pose on the red carpet together, because he was with his “Cosmopolis” co-stars, while she had brought along as date her own co-star in “On the Road,” Tom Sturridge.

For those who don't know, Sturrige is also Robert Pattinson's best friend. He is now dating Sienna Miller and they are expecting their first child together.

While some media outlets (like British tabloid the Daily Mail) are trying to make a big fuss about Kristen's daring cleavage and how she “nearly spilled out of her dress” at one point, there's no denying she looked stunning.

Fans know that she's usually uncomfortable on the red carpet and that her posture usually needs a lot of improving. She's also famous for hating couture, once saying she'd rather attend premieres in blue jeans, tee, and sneakers.

It's safe to say there was no sign of this Kristen last night: she oozed glamor and confidence and, perhaps for the first time, she was more than the “awkward” actress playing the awkward Bella Swan in “Twilight”: she was a movie star.
