Kristen Stewart may have made a mistake when she cheated on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders, but she wouldn’t want that to overshadow her film career. She’s literally losing sleep over this, claims a new report.

The “Twilight” star has gone into hiding since the cheating scandal that also saw her fall out of favor with fans, but she’s bound to emerge in the following days as she starts promoting her new film, “On the Road.”

Sources close to the actress reveal for Radar Online that she’s literally losing sleep at night worrying about what will happen once she starts doing promo work for the film, and whether the scandal in her personal life will affect its chances.

Not without reason, Kristen fears the media will focus too much on her “affair” to the detriment of the film, which is a passion project of hers.

“Kristen Stewart hasn’t been able to get a wink of sleep in the run-up to the film festival. Even though members of the media have been strictly told that questions about her cheating scandal are off-limits, she’s been fretting over the film’s premiere,” an insider reveals.

“She really hopes that the critics are kind to her when it comes to the reviews and they don’t judge her on her personal life,” the same spy says.

The fact that “On the Road” is a passion project of Kristen’s contributes to her nerves, the insider stresses.

“On the Road is a project that’s very close to Kristen’s heart. She is a big fan of the original novel by Jack Kerouac and wants the movie to get the praise she thinks it deserves,” explains the tipster.

“Kristen’s worried that because it opens the festival, a lot is expected of it and just prays that it’s well received,” the source concludes.
