Though it’s winter and Christmas break just ended, Kourtney Kardashian hasn’t gained any weight. On the contrary, she broke out a tiny two-piece swimsuit and posed for the cover of the latest issue of OK! Magazine, where she also speaks of her diet and workout routine.

The reality star gave birth to son Mason one year ago and she’s more than shed the pregnancy weight: she’s actually in better shape than she was before she became pregnant.

The secret is, of course, lots of discipline and making healthier choices, even if they’re not always the more convenient, she says for the publication, as cited by JustJared.

After giving birth and until now, Kourtney has shed a lot of weight (she went from 140 to 95 pounds), but she did it by focusing on her health and not obsessing about whether she was dropping the pounds or not.

“Because I’m nursing, I have to eat constantly. So when we’re filming I tell everyone, ‘Remind me that I’m hungry’ And if it’s a snack, I try to make healthier choices,” she says for the magazine.

Of course, that doesn’t mean she’s without fault when it comes to food or that she deprives herself of all the culinary pleasures in life. Kourtney does indulge, but she tries to do that too with good measure.

“I’ll eat Oreo Double Stufs, but I’ll have two instead of eating a box of them,” the reality star explains. And, apparently, she has other guilty pleasures as well besides Oreos.

“And I love chips! I like Sour Cream & Onion Ruffles and [my boyfriend] Scott always buys me the mini Hostess Donettes because I’m obsessed with them,” Kourtney says.

As for a little secret as regards weight loss, the star shares that hers was to eat several small meals throughout the day. This way, she never got too hungry to lose control over her portions and calorie intake.

“Little meals throughout the day are realistic for people to follow. Try to get workouts in. It’s always so hard to start [a weight-loss plan] and get into it, but I think it’s a positive thing that everyone should try to do for themselves,” she argues.
