Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that it is developing a new Karaoke Revolution videogames set to arrive on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Nintendo Wii.

Konami is emphasizing that this is the only karaoke videogame available on all the current gen consoles and also expects fans to be interested in the new additions, like the customization options offered for characters and dance venues, plus the complex multiplayer modes.

There are 50 fresh songs in Karaoke Revolution, all of them master recordings and available in multiplayer. Konami is really showing off the social aspect of its karaoke title, saying that players can go head to head in teams or can choose to play the single player career mode together. Players who opt for the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3 version of the game can also use a co-op Party Mode that supports up to 16 people.

Karaoke Revolution should offer a huge number of options related to how the player character can look. The PlayStation Eye and the Xbox Live Vision Camera can be used to take pictures of the player and that image can then be integrated into the avatar that will represent him/her in the game. There are a lot of options for those who want something more outrageous and guaranteed to catch the eye of other players. In addition to the characters, players are also able to customize how the venue where songs are performed look.

Konami is saying that only the PS3 and the Xbox 360 versions of the game will support downloadable tracks, which might drive some people from the Nintendo Wii version. All three of them will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2009, probably in time for Christmas.
