14 DAY TRIAL // Kate Husdon has confirmed she and rocker boyfriend Matthew Bellamy are expecting their first child together. The actress has also taken steps to deny she’s gotten secretly engaged and that she’s making wedding plans.
Kate was on the British Graham Norton Show a few days ago and, of course, she was asked whether there were any big changes in her life, Us Magazine reports.
She confirmed that she was expecting, which marks the first time she speaks on the issue. Kurt Russell, her mom’s longtime partner, confirmed the news long before she did.
“‘I’m just starting to pop!’ Hudson said, holding her expanding belly. The Oscar nominee was mum on potential names for her unborn child with the Muse frontman, 32,” Us writes.
She did say though that they’ve been thinking about names.
“‘We have a couple of names, but we’re not telling anyone,’ she teased. As for the baby’s gender, ‘It feels like a girl, but I don’t know,’ the star said. Her son Ryder, 7, ‘thinks it’s a girl.’ (Ryder’s dad is her ex-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crows.)” the same magazine reports.
In the same interview, Hudson set the record straight on whether she’s engaged to Bellamy or not: she’s not, she said.
For the time being, she doesn’t want to put any pressure on their relationship, she explained. On second thought, she’s not even that eager to get married again because she’s focusing on other things, like her happiness.
“No, no, not that I know of! I don’t like putting that sort of pressure on it and I don’t feel it necessary to get married,” Kate said.
“I am 31, I already have one child, and have had one divorce, so it is not necessarily the golden ticket. I just want t be happy,” she added.
By the looks of it and from what people close to her are telling the media, mission accomplished for Kate Husdon: she’s over the moon.
