She has a solid reputation as a good housewife, a good mother and a very savvy businesswoman where her reality television career is concerned. Now, Kate Gosselin can add another thing to her resume: catwalk model.

The mother of 8, who has been working out like crazy to get in shape over the past couple of years, made her runway debut at the New York Fashion Week 2012, Radar Online confirms.

The photo attached to this article was snapped on this occasion.

“The former Dancing with the Stars contestant was a model at celebrity stylist Derek Warburton's event Real Fashion, Real Women, a benefit for the New York-based charity, Bottomless Closet,” Radar reports.

Even though Kate only agreed to be on the show because it was part of a charitable effort, her presence there generated negative reactions online, Warburton says, as cited by the same media outlet.

Minutes after word of her participation got out, they were attacked on Twitter for including her in the project.

“We have all been in Twitter wars about Kate. They were attacking us for having her in the show. I responded saying, ‘Listen, we are not paying her. She is doing this out of the goodness of her heart’,” Warburton says.

“What's remarkable is every time we get a nasty tweet about Kate, she writes and apologizes,” the stylist adds.

“She doesn't care about the haters, but she cares about us, the charity. She must have apologized to me five times for what people say about her,” Warburton further explains.

Indeed, there can be no denying that Kate has come a long way from her golden days on TLC, when her and her ex-husband’s reality show, “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” was keeping millions glued to their TV screens.

Last we heard, she was still struggling to land some kind of job in reality television in a bid to provide for the 8 kids she raises alone, and was in talks to do a dating show that would see her traveling America in search of the perfect man.
