Now that TLC canceled her reality show “Kate Plus 8,” Kate Gosselin is having a very hard time finding work. In fact, she’s having a terribly hard time: no network wants to hear the ideas she’s pitching – much to her surprise, says a new report.

Last we heard, Kate was “depressed” and very “bored” at home. She was also quite heartbroken that she couldn’t find a job because she feared she might have to get a “normal,” 9-to-5 job to pay the bills.

Reports at the time said that she still had hopes she could ride the coattails of her fame and land a new reality series, either on her dating life or a similar one to “Kate Plus 8.”

The Huffington Post is now saying that chances of Mrs. Gosselin ever gracing another television screen are slim to none, because, apparently, no network wants to work with her anymore.

Kate simply assumed that she would have no trouble landing a new show because she was already famous, but network bosses don’t feel the same way.

“She has approached many different networks, including pitching a travel show idea to her old network, TLC, but so far no one has said yes,” a spy says for the aforementioned publication.

“She assumed that given her fame, producers and networks would be knocking her over with job offers and is, to say the least, very surprised that she hasn’t received a single one,” adds the spy.

To make matters even worse for Kate, even if she decided she wanted to go back to a regular job, she might not get it – and she’d have only her career in television to blame for that, an industry insider explains.

“Like many reality stars Kate is in a very difficult position. Who wants to go back to a real day job after being paid to work three or four months a year. Everyone I have ever met on a reality show thinks it will never end,” says the insider.

“They quit their day jobs and assume they will become rich and famous. They do become infamous [but] – with the exception of Bethenny Frankel – they never become rich. Plus, who is going to hire them for a real job after they have made a fool out of themselves on TV?” the same source continues.

For the time being, Kate Gosselin is working on her website, which she aims to be a place where mothers can come for counseling and advice.
