14 DAY TRIAL // If one is to believe rumors, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have been engaged for at least three months but, so far, there hasn't been a single photo of the rock that he reportedly gave her when he proposed. Us Weekly has the answer to that.
Following reports that, just last weekend, Jessica was flashing the ring at the Saturday Night Live taping where Timberlake was also a guest, the latest print issue of Us (story via here) claims to have made a rather surprising discovery.
It would seem that the reason why she's not wearing the rock is that Justin won't let her, plain and simple.
Admittedly, Justin isn't yet ready to make the engagement official, because he doesn't know how his career will be affected by it.
As such, he told Jessica not to wear the ring in public for a while – even though she could not resist and took it out on that particular occasion, when it was admired by the likes of Amy Poehler and Kristen Wiig.
“It wasn’t huge like a Kardashian ring. It looked vintage and might have been custom-made,” says an insider.
“She wanted to wear the ring right away, but Justin has been worried this will be a career killer,” another spy adds of why Jessica is yet to debut the ring in public – i.e. for the press as well.
“He’s not sure how he’ll operate as 'Justin Timberlake, the married man',” adds the tipster.
As it happens, he doesn't have that much time to figure it out, since Jessica is already busy making wedding plans. Come summer, she'll be a bride.
“The big day’s this summer at a private estate. Monique Lhuillier is her No. 1 choice for the dress,” another insider says for the same celebrity publication.
Today, Jessica visited Justin on the set of his latest movie and, while there was no engagement ring in sight, she certainly looked as if she was hiding something underneath a lot of loose clothes.
