Square Enix has announced that it plans to launch two full downloadable content packs for Just Cause 2, its chaos addicted action adventure title that arrived in April. The two packages will be introduced for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the PC, costing 160 Microsoft Points each or 1.99 dollars or Euros, depending on the geographical area where the buyer resides.

The first DLC pack is the “Black Market Aerial Pack,” comes on April 29 and introduces new ways for main character Rico to assault from the air. The addition includes: the F-33 Dragon Fly jet fighter, which comes equipped with quad mounted miniguns and twin missile launchers, the multi lock missile launcher, which can track no less than four targets at the same time and the dual thruster parachute pack that allows Rico to move around more freely in the air and choose the perfect angle from which to strike at its target.

About one month later, on May 25, Square Enix also plans to introduce the “Black Market Boom Pack” to Just Cause 2, complete with three prototype explosives. The Quad Rocket Launcher is a combination between shotgun and missile launcher, the Cluster Bob Launcher is perfect for carpeting a big area with ammunition quickly, while the Air Propulsion Gun can actually lift up vehicles and soldiers towards the sky.

Just Cause 2 is built around using as much firepower as needed to make sure that nothing is left standing in your wake. The plot sees main character Rico assault the island of Panau as he tracks his former boss Tom Sheldon but the heart of the game is the freedom to approach each challenge in a myriad of ways, using the grappling gun, the instantly deployable parachute and the huge arsenal, which is set to become even bigger after the two DLC packs arrive.
