Star talks about what's changed in her life since becoming pregnant

Some female celebrities talk to their fans about the way the pregnancy changes their body or their perspective on life in general. Jessica Simpson is the exception that makes the rule, speaking instead about bodily functions.

Simpson, who is reportedly the kind that wouldn't even blush if she passed gas during a business meeting, is on Twitter, as her fans must already know.

The other day, she checked in to speak about flatulence and how it's different for pregnant women than it is for non-pregnant ones.

“The average person expels flatulence 15 times each day!” she wrote, citing another Twitter user.

She then added: “The average pregnant woman farts 15 times that!”

As noted above, this is not the first time the two words (“Simpson” and “fart”) are put in the same sentence.

Back in January 2010, a report was causing major lols in the blogosphere, saying that Jessica's mother was forced to publicly scold her after she broke wind during a business meeting – and then acted like she didn't know where it came from.

The situation was embarrassing, to say the least, if one is to believe the original report.

“While one of the executives was speaking in a room full of five people, Jessica let out a very loud fart,” an US publication wrote, as we also informed you at the time.

“Her mother [Tina Simpson] was there, and it prompted her to turn around and yell, ‘Jessica!’ The tension was extreme. No one knew what to say,” added the same mag.

In other Jessica Simpson news, the star is now pregnant with her first child by fiance Eric Johnson.

She took her time with confirming the news and eventually only did so when she could no longer hide her protruding tummy.

Jessica is believed to be due early next year. In recent interviews, she's said there's no pressure to marry Eric since they never got to set a wedding date, but reports in the press claim they'll tie the knot shortly after the birth of the child.
