Jessica Simpson Talks About Her Lingerie Line

Post-Tony Romo, Jessica Simpson is a very busy businesswoman, looking to fill the time she now has to spare with countless projects, one more potentially successful than the other. Aside from preparing to start shooting on her VH1 reality show, “The Price of Beauty,” the star is also patiently gearing up for the release of her lingerie collection, as she says in a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily.

Simpson has always loved lingerie, she adds in the interview, because it makes for that unseen item that can make or break a good outfit, or boost a woman’s confidence for the entire day. Because of this, Jessica always dresses in lingerie items that suit her mood, which is why her line will be based on the same principle, offering women countless options to choose from. However, Simpson points out, the collection will not only be varied, as it will also include different styles so that any lady looking to buy something from her finds just the thing she wants.

“I think lingerie is a special part of what you wear every day. It’s fun to pick different colors and styles. What you wear underneath your clothes helps define the outfit, whether T-shirt bras, push-up bras, different patterns and colors, you always have to choose what works best. […] We are also working on a sleepwear collection that I know I will live in. We have focused on using really soft fabrics that feel good against your skin. The whole line centers around great basics for every day that are comfortable and fit your body. We spent a lot of time on the details. I really wanted to make this line special.” Jessica Simpson says in the interview.

What makes this collection stand out is that Simpson herself was involved in the creative process from the beginning to the end, the singer and actress seems to add. All items that will make it on store shelves have been approved and even worn by her, to make sure they are both comfortable and pretty enough. All designs are original, while Simpson can vouch the fabrics used are only top quality.

“I love the seersucker group because it is just classic and so adorable. We also have a beautiful print group that was inspired by Morocco. It is both exotic and feminine at the same time. We also created a denim and floral set that is flirty and fun. My intimates are feminine and sweet with a hint of fun. I like to be comfortable and feel good. I wear whatever my mood calls for.” Simpson also explains in the same interview.

Jessica Simpson’s lingerie line was presented at Vandale Industries showrooms in Manhattan this week.
