Ever since she was labeled “fat” by tabloids after gaining some weight, Jessica Simpson no longer lets the media write whatever they see fit about her. Whether it’s on matters regarding her personal life, her weight, her projects or going under the knife for a little nip & tuck, the singer always takes a stand to set the record straight, as Us Magazine can confirm.

The other day, Simpson went out to run some errands. At one point, paparazzi photographed her leaving a doctor’s office, which, as is usually the case, sent the rumor mill into overdrive with speculation on the procedure she may have had done. To clear this out and prevent the rumors from spreading even further, the blonde star has decided to take to her official Twitter page to make a statement, the magazine informs.

“Jessica Simpson would like to set the record straight: she didn’t consult with any plastic surgeon on Monday. The Price of Beauty star, 29, was photographed visiting a Beverly Hills medical building – one that includes the offices of plastic surgeons – with her dad Joe and several pals. X17online reports she spent ‘nearly six hours’ inside visiting with ‘numerous plastic surgeons.’ Nuh-uh, Simpson Tweeted Tuesday afternoon,” Us writes.

“‘True – went to the doctor yesterday,’ she wrote. ‘False – plastic surgery’ The star has had at least one experience with cosmetic surgery: lip injections. ‘I had that Restylane stuff,’ she admitted to Glamour magazine in 2006, adding that she was disappointed in the results. ‘It went away in like four months... [but] thank God! [They] looked fake to me. I didn’t like that’,” the mag further says.

Jessica Simpson is not the latest female public figure to make headlines in recent days with talk of a surgical intervention. Last week, for instance, former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin was photographed with what looked like a larger bust, which sparkled rumors of implants. Days after that, Mrs. Palin was forced to publicly address the issue to deny the allegations and say she lamented the fact that the media would focus precisely on that when there were other, much more pressing matters at hand.
