14 DAY TRIAL // Jesse James and Kat Von D first walked the red carpet as a couple at the beginning of September, with reports saying they had started dating only weeks before that. As it turns out, they kept their affair a secret from the public.
One of James’ exes is now talking to the media, saying that, at the time the two confirmed being a couple, Kat had already moved in with Jesse, which means they’d been together for much longer.
This would come to deny the picture that Kat has been trying to paint of their romance, namely that it was a whirlwind thing that swept them off their feet, while also realizing they were made for each other.
According to Janine Lindemulder, Jesse’s ex and the mother of his daughter Sunny, Kat and Jesse have been together for a very long time, much longer than they wanted people to know.
“Jesse’s romance with new girlfriend Kat Von D is getting serious,” Life & Style writes. “Kat is closer and closer to becoming a stepmom,” she says.
“In fact, Sunny already knows Kat well, says Janine. While Jesse and Kat have been publicly dating only since mid-August, Sunny let Janine know the romance has been going on a lot longer,” the mag writes.
“I got Sunny on the phone and she said, ‘Kat’s here.’ Then she said to me, ‘You know, Mom, I haven’t known Kat just a couple of weeks. I’ve known her for months’,” Janine says of a conversation that took place when the relationship was supposedly new – at least to the media.
Janine doesn’t have a problem with Jesse moving on from his marriage to Oscar-winning Sandra Bullock so quickly, she says – but she’s not happy that Sunny is will most likely get hurt.
As Janine sees it, Sunny doesn’t need another parental figure in her life right now in Kat, not after Jesse’s divorce from Sandra and everything it entailed for the little girl.
“[Sunny] is still grieving over missing Sandra and missing her brother. She says that Louis isn’t her brother and Sandra doesn’t have her last name, James, anymore,” Janine says of her daughter.
“She thinks her baby brother is gone. She’s really hurting,” the ex adds for the same publication.
