Not long ago, several glossy publications and celebrity e-zines were calling Jesse James the most hated man in America, for cheating on Sandra Bullock, his wife of almost five years, and for literally ruining their marriage with his inconsiderate and shameless actions. He will talk about the media scandal for the first time since it broke on ABC’s Nightline, as a teaser on ABC News informs.

Saying that James has been pardoned by Bullock’s fans as easily as she seems to have forgiven him for his transgressions would be a far-fetched thing to say. However, he seems to be doing his best to save face and fix whatever can be fixed about his image in the media by agreeing to go in front of the cameras to talk the affairs he had, why he had them and, most importantly, where he sees himself heading next (strictly on a personal level, of course).

“Coming off the break-up of his marriage to Sandra Bullock and a subsequent low profile, Jesse James is finally opening up about his past, his time in rehab and what made him cheat on his Oscar-winning wife. Tuesday, in his first interview since Bullock filed for divorce, James tells ABC News’ Nightline’s Vicki Mabrey his side of the story and responds to the questions so many people have been wondering: Why did he throw away a seemingly perfect life and the perfect wife? What did he really go to rehab for? What role will he play in the life of Louis, the baby boy Bullock recently adopted?” ABC News says.

As also noted above, this is literally the first time that the television personality agrees to appearing in a televised interview to talk about his relationship to Bullock and whatever it was that went wrong with it. “James’ Nightline interview marks his first television appearance since news of his affairs came out in March. Following statements from the women who claimed to have slept with him, James checked into a rehab facility to seek help for ‘personal issues.’ He also publicly apologized to Bullock, his wife of nearly five years, and his three kids,” ABC is also quick to point out.

Also as a teaser for the upcoming interview, ABC also includes a photo of Jesse James with Vicki Mabrey and, to paraphrase what’s being said about it in the blogosphere, he seems on the verge of crying / turning on the waterworks. For more on this interview, make sure you keep an eye on this space.
