14 DAY TRIAL // Justin Bieber was arrested for DUI, drag racing, driving on a suspended license, and resisting arrest without violence earlier this week and, since then, there’s been a lot of talk as to whether his father Jeremy Bieber wasn’t the worst possible influence in his life.
Insiders tell the tabs that Jeremy, largely absent from Justin’s life when he wasn’t a superstar and his mother Pattie Mallette struggled to raise him, became a fixture when the money started coming in.
It is said that Justin’s manager Scooter Braun doesn’t like him around because he never says “no” to Justin no matter what he asks and, obviously, at 19, boys can ask for the most ridiculous and dangerous things. Like having a street closed off to drag race with friends.
Reports say that it was Jeremy who arranged for an entire street in Miami to be shut down so that Justin could indulge in a spot of drag racing and, perhaps even worse, that he was out with him earlier that night, when he had consumed alcohol and smoked weed.
In other words, if any of this is true, Jeremy facilitated 19-year-old Justin’s arrest, his first ever. It’s no wonder then that Jeremy is now under serious fire for “ruining” the world’s most beloved and successful pop star, sullying his good image by not being a parent and acting more like a friend of the same age.
As far as Jeremy is concerned, those who think that should first look to their own problems and only afterwards try to point out his.
“I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife,” he tweeted after Justin’s arrest. His next tweet read simply, “Proud.”
“Worry about the log in your eye before judging the spec in mine! I will answer to my maker as will you! Truth always wins! #reallife,” he added even later.
At this moment, Justin has left Miami and has been spotted on a beach in Panama. It is not known if Jeremy is with him.
