Bluetooth headsets are some of the most widely used phone accessories out there, so Jawbone thought to expand its Icon line with four designer edition EarWear Collection offerings, catering to all those fashion conscious users out there that don't want to give up on style while talking on the phone.

Featuring a striking designs suited to each consumer's unique style, these new headsets are available in four different versions, named after fashion textiles – Cashmere, Denim, Mesh, and Suede – each one of these models being offered in an impressive array of colors.

Moving away from design however, the new EarWear models come with the “military-grade” proprietary NoiseAssassin 2.0 technology, originally developed for use by tank commanders and helicopter pilots, as well as A2DP Bluetooth support, allowing its users to connect them to different phones at the same time, so you can answer calls both on your personal or work phone with just one headset.

Furthermore, these new devices come with an built-in rechargeable Li-ion polymer battery that can provide its users with up to 4.5 hours of talk time (9 days standby time), the two buttons needed to operate the headset being hidden beneath the surface in order not to ruin the overall design.

"The ICON is our most successful product ever because people really want to wear it," says Yves Behar, Jawbone's Chief Creative Officer.

"The EarWear Collection builds on this ethos, giving consumers an even broader range of colors and textures to accommodate the most discerning tastes.

With Jawbone's industry-leading intelligence, the EarWear collection is truly a marriage of innovative form and function," concluded the company's rep.

The new EarWear Collection is available today for pre-order carrying a $99.99 price tag, so I wouldn't call these cheap by any means although they do indeed look the part.
