They’ve been rumored to be dating for a few weeks now and, if the reports are accurate, they’re doing a wonderful job at keeping their romance a secret. Jake Gyllenhall has managed to successfully avoid all questions about Taylor Swift.

After the singer dodged all of Ellen DeGeneres’ questions about the blossoming romance in a recent interview, it’s now Jake’s turn to be assaulted with questions.

Luckily, he’s not the only one who’d like to keep some matters of his personal life private, since his friend and co-star also feels the same, People magazine reports.

Then again, such stern refusal to even consider talking about the rumored romance, even if only to deny it, can’t but be a confirmation that it actually exists, the celebrity magazine speculates.

“At his Love and Other Drugs press conference on Saturday at the Waldorf-Astoria in Manhattan, Jake Gyllenhaal dodged a question from a People reporter about his relationship with Taylor Swift. And he wasn’t alone in that pursuit,” the mag writes.

“Asked what’s going on between the actor and the country star, Gyllenhaal’s Love costar Anne Hathaway quickly interjected, mock-shouting at the reporter who inquired (seemingly in order to save her friend),” People further explains.

Hathaway’s intervention was construed in such a way as to bring the focus back on the film by pretending she wanted it to be on her, Jake’s onscreen lover in the production.

“Hang on, hang on, I have to say something! I have been Jake’s onscreen love interest for years, all right? You keep the conversation to me and only me, otherwise I’m going to get nasty!” the actress told the reporter.

Jake, obviously thrilled that his co-star had answered the question for him (but only in the sense that he no longer had to do it), quipped, “You get Ella Enchanted [nasty]...”

As we also informed you a short while ago, Taylor Swift did the same in a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres for her show, answering every question thrown at her with another, seemingly unrelated one.
