Following our previous articles, Ubuntu Flickr/Shotwell Photos Lens, Ubuntu Spotify Scope, Ubuntu DeviantArt Scope, Ubuntu SSH Lens, Ubuntu Binary Clock Lens, Ubuntu YouTube Lens and ScopeUbuntu Calendar LensUbuntu Web Sources LensUbuntu Gwibber LensUbuntu Books LensUbuntu Cities ScopeUbuntu Grooveshark ScopeUbuntu Calculator Scope and Pirate Bay Torrents Lens for Unity, today we are introducing the Ubuntu Launchpad Lens for the Unity interface.

The Ask Ubuntu Lens is a Unity Launcher plugin that allows you to search information about Ubuntu on the askubuntu.com website. This Lens also allows users to search other stack exchange sites, via Filter Results.

To install the Unity Ask Ubuntu Lens plugin in your Ubuntu 11.10 operating system, open the Ubuntu Software Center, search for Ask Ubuntu and install the AskUbuntu Lens for Unity. Ubuntu 11.04 users can open a terminal window (hit the CTRL+ALT+T key combination) and paste the following commands (one by one, hitting Enter after each one):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:askubuntu-tools/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install unity-place-askubuntu
unity-askubuntu-lens

You will also need to restart your session after the installation. Be aware that it is available ONLY for Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot) and Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal).

Shouldn't that be "install unity-lens-askubuntu" in the second command?
