Most people who saw this year’s MTV Video Music Awards and even those who only heard or read about it later had only harsh words for Kanye West for cutting Taylor Swift off during her acceptance speech to tell her that Beyonce should have won the Best Female Video award. As awkward and embarrassing as the scene in question was, it has generated a new trend of the Internet, generally dubbed Interrupting Kanye, as E! Online informs.

Interrupting Kanye is Kanye, only more annoying because he doesn’t stop at just shutting young country singer Taylor Swift up but goes out, guns ablaze, for the likes of Edward Cullen of “Twilight,” President Barack Obama, JFK, The Joker (as portrayed by the late Heath Ledger) and even World Trade Center and actor Patrick Swayze, who passed the other day after a long battle with cancer. Websites have been set up specifically for Interrupting Kanye – and his equally annoying variant Imma Let You Finish Kanye – and all deal with the same thing: photos of Kanye interrupting major events or important people so that he can speak his mind.

Moreover, there is also an automatic Kanye West Apology Generator, which, as its name implies, helps anyone who offended one celebrity or another come up with a swift apology – caps included, just like Kanye likes to write them on his personal blog. What fans have to do is only to fill in the required fields and an automatic apology is generated, in true Kanye style and bearing a very striking resemblance to the first apology he posted on his website to Taylor, but which was pulled down hours later.

As for the Interrupting Kanye phenomenon, fans are warned to brace themselves and hang patiently, because this is just the beginning. “Edward, I’m very happy for you and I’m gonna let you ‘sparkle’ but True Blood has some of the best vampires of all times.” Kanye tells Edward Cullen, the brooding vampire from “Twilight” and the upcoming “New Moon.” As Twilighters and many a film critic can vouch, there is no better vampire than Edward, both in terms of character definition and appeal – just so you get an idea of how annoying Interrupting Kanye is.

As a matter of fact, Interrupting Kanye is so annoying he even interrupts himself on the Imma Let You Finish website. A photo shows Interrupting Kanye interrupting Kanye on Jay Leno to tell him that, “Yo Kanye, I’m really happy for you and I’m gonna let you finish, but Chris Brown had the best fake apology this year!” Follow the links and enjoy.
