The roadmap for the year has been revealed, though it might change at any point

The Mobile World Congress trade show will take place in Barcelona, Spain, next week, and I'll be there to report directly, which means that I'll be present at Intel's product launch event on February 24.

Intel hasn't “officially” revealed what processors will come out then, but there are other sources, like a leaked roadmap slide.

You'll see that the Santa Clara, California-based chip giant will launch two tablet/smartphone processors, or SoCs as they are otherwise called (system-on-chip devices).

They will be designed on the Silvermont architecture and sold under the Merrifield brand.

Not much is known about the tablet processor, but the one for smartphone will be a 64-bit Bay Trail-T.

Stay tuned as we go through the rest of the roadmap. Given the delay of Broadwell and the acceleration of the new Haswell plans, it's good to finally see the revised roadmap at last.
