Christopher Nolan, the acclaimed director behind this year’s Inception, who also worked on the reimagining of Batman and his movie series, has stated that he is already working together with a team on creating a video game set in the dream world of his latest movie.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly Christopher Nolan has said, “I always imagined Inception to be a world where a lot of other stories could take place. At the moment, the only direction we're channeling that is by developing a videogame set in the world.”

It's not clear whether a video game will be build around the characters seen in the movie, maybe retelling the same story with some different elements here and there or whether the director is interested in exploring other jobs that Cobb and his crew of dream thieves took part in earlier in the careers.

The movie director is interested in video games, saying they are “something I've wanted to explore” and mentioning that he already has a team of people who are more familiar with the medium working on the initial stages of the Inception video game.

It seems that it will take some time to complete the development process and Nolan is not saying which publisher he hopes to work with on the game.

Nolan has also answered questions about a possible sequel for Inception itself, saying “it's not something I want to say no to, but it's not something I've given a lot of thought about.”

The Inception auteur is not the first movie director who is interested in creating video games, with Peter Jackson, the man who directed the Lord of the Rings trilogy, working with THQ on at least one project, although he seems to be creating an entirely new world for his video game, rather than using one of movies as inspiration.
