These will bring art into your home, and you can even watch slideshows

Great and famous paintings are the type of thing you only find in museums or the estates of the wealthy connoisseurs.

It turns out that LG doesn't really approve of that. To remedy the situation, it has introduced the Art Gallery OLED TV series.

They are OLED TVs bordered by a frame (there are multiple designs here at IFA 2013).

That's not all though. LG has also implemented a Gallery mode, in which the TV shows slides of high-quality images.

Speaking of which, LG has pre-loaded the displays with high-resolution digital images of paintings belonging to Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin, among others.

Add to that forward-facing Canvas Speakers (2.2 channel sound system) and you have a winning combo.

At least, it's a winner if the price proves good. Alas, LG hasn't shared it. Given the WRGB technology though (fourth backlight pixel, white), it will be higher than for the normal OLED.

Note: Sebastian Pop and fellow editor Ionut Arghire are on the floor at IFA 2013 and are bringing you pictures and live reports on the latest products and previews. Find them all here.
