Started last week in Berlin, IFA 2011 seems to be the largest consumer electronics trade show in the world with more than 1350 exhibitors.

Vodafone Germany had a strong presence at the trade fair and made quite an impression with its newly announced Smart Tab 7 and Smart Tab 10 tablets.

According to the carrier, both tablets are powered by Honeycomb and will be available on the market sometime in November for a price that will be disclosed in due time.

Customers who prefer smaller slates should go for the 7-inch Smart Tab, while those who prefer larger screens should give in to the 10-inch version, as both tablets offer the same features in terms of software and hardware.

Although they have different size screens, Smart Tab 7 and 10 displays support the same high 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

As we already mentioned the tablets will be delivered with Google Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) on board and each will be equipped with a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor manufactured by Qualcomm.

Smart Tab 7 and 10 pack 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Support for HSDPA and HSUPA will also be available for users who want to take advantage of Vodafone Germany’s network speeds of up to 14.4 mbps download, and a maximum upload speed of 5.76 mbps.

In addition, the tablets offer users an array of other connectivity options, including integrated WLAN interface, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, GPS with A-GPS support and microUSB.

It is also worth mentioning that both tablets are equipped with 5 megapixel cameras on the back and 2 megapixel front facing cameras for video calls.

Both Vodafone Smart Tab 7 and Smart Tab 10 will be available this fall at retail outlets in Germany.
