I-Mate USA Announcing the I-Mate SPL Smartphone

I-mate USA, a company specialized in Windows Mobile powered phones, has announced at CTIA Wireless IT 2006,
in Los Angeles, the launching of i-mate SPL, a device for the users that want the power of a Windows Mobile operating system behind a stylish design.

It has a slim candy-bar design, with a RAZR-like keypad, not very suitable for typing emails or meeting infos on it.

It is a tri-band GSM /GPRS handset, with a 2.2 inch color LCD display, 128 MB ROM and 64 RAM, a miniSD expansion card slot, an integrated antenna and Bluetooth connectivity.

The handset - like all other handsets released by i-mate - is packed with advanced Microsoft features including Windows Media Player, MSN Messenger, Word, Outlook and Excel Mobile.

The price of the handset is still unknown, but I-mate USA has announced that the SPL will be distributed in USA, Latin America and Canada.
