Announced almost a year ago, Spice Mi-410 has been finally confirmed for June 2011. It appears that the phone is in fact a re-branded Huawei X6 that will be delivered with an updated software.

According to Spice Mobility, the device was delayed because the manufacturer had intended to launch the phone with new features and Android 2.2 on board instead of the old Android 2.1 Eclair.

Unfortunately, it took the Indian manufacturer about nine months to make the necessary adjustments.

Commenting on the phone's launch and price, Dilip Modi, managing director of Spice Mobility, told 'The Mobile Indian', “We will launch Spice Mi 410 in the first week of June, and it will be priced at around Rs 15,000 (about $335).

Although the phone's price seems decent, the same smartphone will be launched by Olive, as Olive Smart and will be delivered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out-of-the-box.

However, it will be interesting to see the Olive's price tag in comparison with Spice's.

Spice Mi-410 comes with a 4.1-inch capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Equipped with a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon processor, complemented by an Adreno 205 GPU, the Mi-410 will be available exclusively at Spice Hotspots across the country.

When it comes to connectivity features, the smartphone is an all-rounder: HSDPA and HSPA support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and GPS with A-GPS support.

In addition, the smartphone features Google suite and messaging service (Google Search, Maps, Gmail, GTalk), as well as push mail.

The phone sports a rear 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and camcorder (720p@30fps), as well as secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calling.

The Mi-410 is the third Android smartphone launched by Spice Mobility in India, after Spice Mi-300 and Spice Mi-310 were launched earlier this year.
