Huawei will expand its line of mobile phones that it currently brings to the market with a new mid-ranged handset. The U1205 model has been little discussed until now, but will make its way through for an official release in the near future.

FCC has just approved the Huawei U1205 mobile phone, which means that we will be seeing it in the near future on the market. The phone comes equipped with the most basic functions that mobile phone users might look for when buying such a device.

This is a GSM/EDGE and dual-band WCDMA 850/1900 handset with a rather practical look and little impressive features. Its appearance manages only to place it among the most plain-looking handsets which are available at this time.

When looking at the specification list, we can immediately spot two revealing things. The first is that it is very short, as we know very little about this phone or just because this is all that it has to offer. The second is that the appearance manages to fully reflect the poor performances that Huawei U1205 has to offer its owner.

Connectivity is available through Bluetooth 1.2, an older and less efficient version of this capability. Furthermore, the 1.3 megapixel camera manages to provide images of a quality below average, but might come in handy when in need for a quick snapshot of an important memory.

The internal memory space has not been specified, although Huawei U1205 also comes with a memory expansion slot capable of supporting cards of up to 1GB of capacity. That is quite impressive and unexpected, but highly useful to see such a large amount of memory on a phone which otherwise comes with low performances.

The date when Huawei U1205 will be released has not been specified and neither has been a price that it will be available for.
