Holly Madison will start shooting for her own reality show this October in Las Vegas

Although she has made a name for herself by being the number-one girlfriend of the three Hugh Hefner usually has and by being one of the most mediated glamor models of our times, Holly Madison has always managed to maintain a certain sense of accessibility about her. It’s precisely that which she plans to exploit and show the world in a brand-new reality show that will be shot in Las Vegas, “Planet Holly,” the star herself says for Vegas Deluxe.

Most people know Madison as a Playmate, a star of “Girls Next Door” and a PETA spokesperson. What the fans don’t know of her is that she is also down to earth, a woman who has fallen in love with Vegas and lives her life to the fullest, enjoying the little things about it that make it so special. Here is where “Planet Holly” comes in, she says, a reality show mixing elements of “Girls Next Door,” a docu-film and a lesson in life for all young women to never let go of their dreams and to pursue them regardless of everything else.

“There will be elements of GND in my show because there is such a fan following for it. It’s all good-natured and not mean like other reality shows. I’m really excited about the new series because I am also getting a legitimate co-producer credit for all the work I do behind the camera. It’s not a vanity credit. I’m super excited to learn from the best and take on new responsibilities.” Madison says of the upcoming show, which will also be promoted on the next season of GND, where Holly still makes a few appearances.

“Planet Holly” will attempt to show a slice of Vegas that many people don’t know and that Madison is well familiar with. It will also show the glamor model in her everyday life, which means it will be more of a “journey” than anything similar to the other shows currently on air, she says. As a matter of fact, the star sees her upcoming series as “empowering” to women, in the sense that it will have a clear purpose of showing them they should always follow their dreams.

“I fell in love with Vegas since moving here. So I want to show a lot of the Vegas few people know about, it’s [sic] hidden treasures away from the Strip. Yes, you’ll see my quirky day-to-day life of living in a casino with a dog, but it will show the side of the valley many people never know existed. It will have some docu-drama, but it’s the perfect excuse for me to be normal in a lighthearted comedy romp. […] But ‘Planet Holly’ also will have an empowering message for women showing that however crazy the ideas you might have, they can be achieved.” Madison further explains for the same publication.
