Hard Reset, the gritty cyberpunk shooter from Flying Wild Hog studio, has just received its long-awaited Exile story-based expansion, which adds quite a few things to the game, from five new levels to new enemies, achievements and maps for the survival mode.

Hard Reset came out last year and impressed first-person shooter fans by taking a back-to-basics approach of the genre, reminiscent of classic titles like Painkiller or Serious Sam.

Now, after the Polish studio released a DLC pack that added a Survival mode to the game, a brand new add-on has been made available, called Exile.

The DLC takes the protagonist, Major Fletcher, outside of the gritty Bezoar city and into the Barrens, a land comprised of five new levels filled with four new enemy types and a special boss character.

Fans of Hard Reset’s Survival mode can also enjoy two new survival maps, as well as new achievements.

The best part about Hard Reset: Exile, is that it’s completely free to all owners of the game. In case you don’t have it, the game has seen its price cut as part of the Steam Summer Sale 2012.
