By the passing of each day, Halo 3 sounds better and better

Some while ago, the Internet blew up in flames when modders cracked the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta code. They revealed tons of new features, weapons and items, but most impressively, differently colored shoulder plates and other pieces of the Spartans' amour. Recently however, more amour customization has been disclosed. Everyone with their unique Master Chief.

This one came straight from The Hushed Casket who says that "In the latest edition of Gamepro, you'll find some juicy information about HALO 3. They reveal the never before seen vehicles, maps, weapons, and armor in HALO 3. Yes, armor. HALO 3 will now allow you to equip your characters will tricked out helmets, shoulderpads, and more. Here are a few screen captures, but you really should check out the magazine."

And by the looks of the images (left, click to enlarge), I suggest you do that. Not that the site's guys weren't inspired to shoot/scan the mag's pages, but I'm sure that they look better in reality.

So we have new items, weapons, vehicles, customization options... nothing else comes to mind right now but I'm sure there's more. The bottom line is that modders have pretty much found everything that's going to be available with the full version of Bungie's extremely popular FPS, for the Xbox 360. So, who was the idiot that said Halo 3 Beta looked like a better Halo 2? Oh wait, that was me.

Anyway, it looks as if someone there at Bungie is keen on dismissing all rumors regarding Halo 3 being a better Halo 2. Which is good, editors sometimes actually hope that they're wrong when saying stuff like this in regard to their favorite title. Halo 3 isn't by far my favorite title (I'm not into the FPS genre that much, to be totally honest), but the way Halo 3 is turning up, I might just start considering customizing my own Spartan. Check out the images and see what you can make of them.
