Bungie's Halo: Reach has begun to trickle some details and, as time slowly passes, the game starts to look more and more promising. Already stetting itself up as the most exhilarating Halo yet, after the Video Game Awards trailer unveiled that it would feature an entire Spartan squad, the title seems intent on blowing our minds away. Just last week, we saw the announcement of a new, and right now, secret multiplayer mode, and, while there were no real details available, yesterday, Game Informer took a shot at the title and brought a nice compendium of known facts about Reach.

While the game promised from the beginning that it would focus a lot on storytelling, as it should, since there needs to be lot of substance in it, considering that we already know how this story ends, there are also some very exciting multiplayer aspects revealed. The arsenal is also browsed through, and, while not everything is revealed and some damage dealers haven't made it to Reach, there are still some familiar entries in the weapon locker that bring a smile to our face.

Game Informer managed to pull a lot from the game, and there's not one thing that's disappointing. First of all, we'll get five extra Spartans on the field, so the campaign should prove to be a bulldozer-run through enemy forces. There's talk about battles on an epic scale, as these will be the title's main feature, with up to 40 AI enemies on the field. The game will be a more serious approach to the Halo franchise, with up-close, war-journalism-like camera movement designed cinematics, meant only to further deliver the state of siege Reach is under.

The six-man Noble team will be the focus of the story, as it will try to deal with the Covenant, in an upgraded, challenging version made by Bungie. As for the actual gameplay, the plasma pistol, sword and needler return, as well as the frag and plasma grenades, the equipment is replaced by armor abilities and the health bar begins to drop once the shield is drained, just like in Halo 1. Reach will also feature a four-player campaign, two player co-op split-screen, save films and 16-player deathmatches, but also a generational leap forward on tech over previous Halo games. All in all, this could really prove to be the best Halo ever made. Maybe even better than the first.
