Microsoft is set to reveal the first details about its upcoming Halo 4 first person shooter at the end of February, during its Xbox Spring Showcase event, at least according to a report coming from a magazine from Finland.

Halo 4 was originally revealed to the world back at E3 2011, when Microsoft deployed a small teaser trailer which showed that Master Chief, together with Cortana will embark on new adventures.

Since then, the company and the game’s developer, 343 Industries, have been quiet about the new title, saying that more details will be revealed when the time is right.

Now, according to a Finnish magazine, via NeoGAF, the formal reveal of Halo 4 is going to happen on February 29, when the Xbox Spring Showcase will be held by Microsoft in San Francisco.

There’s no official word from the company, but it’s safe to say that at least a few more details about Halo 4 are going to be shared with legions of fans from all around the world at that time.
