Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is reportedly getting ready to bring to the market a new quad-core smartphone running under Android, the HTC One XXL.

Landing on shelves as the successor of HTC One X, the smartphone is rumored to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside, featuring LTE-capabilities and clocked at 1.6GHz.

Moreover, the handset is said to pack 2GB of RAM, along with a 4.7-inch touchscreen display, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a 1.8MP camera on the front.

Nothing has been officially unveiled on the smartphone as of now, and we’ll take the info with a grain of salt.

However, it does not come as a surprise that HTC decided to design a high-end device that would take advantage both of a quad-core chip and of 4G LTE connectivity, especially after Samsung was recently rumored to plan a similar move.
