Recently, Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has announced the availability of a new smartphone on the market in Singapore, namely the HTC Wildfire S.

The new device should be released on the local market before the end of May, sporting a suggested retail price tag of S$388.

The handset arrives on the local market in three shades of ‘Bloom Pink’, ‘Silver White’ and ‘Dark Gray’, and would be released on shelves at all mobile operators and authorized retailers, the phone maker announced.

HTC Wildfire S comes to shelves in Singapore as the successor of the popular Wildfire, which arrived on shelves last year.

The same as its predecessor, the new Wildfire S will provide users with increased performance in a compact and playful device that sports an affordable price tag.

With HTC Wildfire S, users can stay connected at all times with their friends on social networks like Facebook, as well as via voice and text messaging.

Some of the features that the new device comes with would include the ability to instantly tag friends in photos before posting them on Facebook.

“The new HTC Wildfire S offers an irresistible combination of value-for-money, compact design and entertainment that is as unique as you are,” said Jack Tong, president of HTC North Asia, former VP, Asia Pacific, HTC Corporation.

“The HTC Wildfire S makes staying connected and sharing your content, thoughts and emotions with your friends and the world a truly fun experience.”

HTC Wildfire S is one of the smallest smartphones that HTC came to the market with, measuring only 10.13cm long and 5.94cm wide.

The mobile phone comes with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, complemented by a powerful processor, microSD memory card for additional storage space, a photo snapper on the back, with video recording capabilities, and the like.

The HTC Wildfire S would also offer support for various services from Google, such as Search, Maps, Gmail, or YouTube, as well as for applications available for download via the Android Market.
