One more name for HTC Touch

It has become quite clear that HTC Touch will soon arrive at Sprint, and that it is actually going to be the CDMA version of the phone, called HTC Vogue. The carrier has decided to rename the product once again and leave a personal mark on it, by calling it Sprint Touch.

Sprint has taken advantage of the full-day technology summit on the 16th of August in Northern Virginia for showcasing their HTC Vogue smartphone. The operator has yet to officially announce the release of this handset, but seems to be already presenting it as soon to become part of its line of available products.

All the specifications on Sprint Touch should sound quite familiar, as the only difference that this phone version has to bring is that it works in CDMA network and not a GSM one. Another modification stands in the name that has suffered an entire series of changes over the past period, although they refer to the same device.

Sprint Touch will be just as capable of responding to the user's needs for evolved technology. It will also pack the TouchFLO interface that HTC plans on introducing in all their future devices from now on, due to its success.

The US market should get ready for receiving the handset that has been seen in many other countries as a strong competitor for Apple's phone. Still, there are chances of seeing less enthusiasm coming from handset users from this country, as the iPhone has been released for almost two months now and HTC Touch has surely not benefited from the same amount of publicity that Apple's phone has had the chance of receiving.

An official announcement from Sprint on the release of their Sprint touch handset should come in the near future. The price that the smartphone will come for has not been revealed yet, although it should be almost the same as that seen on the European market.
