Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation has just announced that the owners of more of its Android-based devices have now the possibility to unlock the bootloaders inside them.

The owners of HTC Wildfire S, Wildfire, Salsa, Merge, and Desire can now take advantage of this option via the special website that HTC has put in place for them.

“We've added Bootloader Unlock support for the HTC Wildfire S, Wildfire, Salsa, Merge, and Desire at http://www.htcdev.com – check it out,” HTC announced on Twitter.

HTC, the same as other mobile phone makers, promised unlocked bootloaders to its users, and the company has started to deliver to that promise.

Users interested in unlocking their devices so as to be able to install unofficial software on them should head over to the aforementioned website.
