Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation announced on Thursday that its newly unveiled HTC Touch2 Windows phone had been introduced to Hong Kong. The new handset comes to the market with a compact and stylish design, while also featuring Microsoft's new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, as well as support for the Microsoft My Phone and Windows Marketplace for Mobile services.

According to the handset vendor, the new HTC Touch2 is capable of delivering a full touch experience to users, and also offers an advanced touch experience to a broader group of people, as opposed to previously available handsets from the company. With the new Windows phone, users can enjoy having all they need at their fingertips, the company states.

“The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives,” said Peter Chou, chief executive officer, HTC Corporation. “Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.” The HTC Touch 2 comes with a compact design and fits greatly into one's hand, while its TouchFLO user interface is meant to offer integrated weather updates and quick touch access to some of the most used applications on the handset. Moreover, it also comes with support for services like Google Maps for Mobile, YouTube and more.

Being a Windows phone, the new HTC Touch2 also includes a series of features specific to the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system it comes with, such as a re-designed Internet Explorer Mobile, with support for Adobe Flash, or the availability of a series of applications that can be downloaded from the Windows Marketplace for Mobile. Synchronization with Microsoft Exchange and data backup with MyPhone are other features that HTC Touch2 will deliver to handset users in Hong Kong.
