HTC Corporation, a leading mobile phone maker, announced on Wednesday that its flagship device, HTC Touch Diamond2, would become available for purchase for mobile phone users in India. The new Windows Mobile-powered handset comes with an intuitive interface and can offer the necessary functionality to leverage the mobile experience of any user.

“The HTC Touch Diamond2 ushers in a mobile communication experience that simplifies how we communicate with people in our lives whether through voice, text or email,” said Ajay Sharma, country head, HTC India. “At HTC, our endeavour has always been to deliver the latest, cutting-edge sophistication in our portfolio of mobile phones that seeks to improve how people live, work and communicate, and the HTC Touch Diamond2 is the extension of the same conviction of ours.”

Among the features that the HTC Touch Diamond2 comes with on the Indian market we can count the Push Internet technology, meant to speed up the downloading and rendering of Web pages on the mobile device while also allowing users to select the favorite sites that they would like to get instant access to. Moreover, the device also offers single contact view, where users will find the individual conversation history of contacts, including voice, text and email.

The handset comes with a 3.2-inch high-resolution wide-screen VGA display, a sensitive zoom bar that enables fast zooming on photos, documents, Web pages, emails or text messages, a compact design, and the company's TouchFLO 3D interface. According to HTC, the Touch Diamond2 can offer fast access to important information such as messaging, email, contacts and more, not to mention that the handset has been enhanced for one-hand use.

The phone also sports a 5-megapixel photo snapper, expandable memory, ambient light sensor and gravity sensor, as well as a 13.7mm thick design. Mobile phone users in India will be able to purchase the new HTC Touch Diamond2 handset from all leading HTC Authorized Resellers in the country at a Market Operating Price of Rs. 29,990.
